Hilary Macaskill is a journalist and travel writer. She is the author of Downhill All the Way, Virginia Woolf at Home, Charles Dickens at Home, Daphne du Maurier at Home and Agatha Christie at Home. She lives in London.

Marianne Majerus is a regular contributor to many national and international publications, including House and Garden, Gardens Illustrated, Country Life, Homes and Gardens, Country Homes and Interiors, The Garden, English Garden, The Times, Guardian, and Daily Telegraph.  Her photographs have featured in over 200 books. In 2010 the British Garden Media Guild named her International Garden Photographer of the Year, in 2011 Garden Photographer of the Year and in 2013 Features Photographer of the Year.

Michelle Mason is a designer, shopkeeper and stylist and has worked for a number of clients including Sir John Soane’s Museum shop, the British Library, the National Gallery and the Southbank Centre. She is also co-founder of east London vintage shop Mason & Painter in Columbia Road, home to the weekly Sunday Flower Market. Her first book was Flower Market (Pimpernel, 2019).

David McKie is a former political reporter, deputy editor, chief leaderwriter and columnist (‘Elsewhere’ and ‘Smallweed’) for the Guardian. Born in London, he grew up in London and Leeds, read history at Oxford and started in newspapers with the Oxford Mail. After the Guardian, he turned to writing books, which have included Jabez: the Rise and Fall of a Victorian Rogue (shortlisted for the Whitbread Biography Award); Great British Bus Journeys; and McKie’s Gazetteer.

Tom Miller moved to New York City in 1979 from Dayton, Ohio, where his interest in architecture and history was sparked. Tom currently holds the rank of Inspector within the NYPD’s Auxiliary Police Force. For years his involvement with the New York Police Department– whether on patrol or marching its wide avenues – has afforded him the opportunity to see the city’s seemingly endless variety of buildings. He started the blog Daytonian in Manhattan in 2009, and since then he has investigated and researched the stories of more than a thousand Manhattan buildings. He urges New Yorkers and visitors alike to ‘never stop being a tourist’ and ‘never stop looking up’.

Darryl Moore is an award-winning garden and landscape designer and writer focusing on contemporary garden and landscape design and planting. He has been a feature writer for Garden Design Journal for the past 15 years and has also been published in The Guardian, Homes & Gardens, The English Garden, Pro Landscaper, The Garden and RSA Journal. He is a member of the Garden Media Guild and was Trade Journalist of the Year in 2016. He is a former member of GDJ Editorial Panel and is also a published garden photographer. He is Director and co-founder of the innovative urban landscape organisation Cityscapes, realising creative approaches to greening city spaces through novel design ideas that ensure ecological, economic and social sustainability. He lives in London, SW2

Having studied Art & Design and Photography at William Morris Academy, Jade Murray began nurturing her creative flair by starting her own indoor garden. In 2021 she entered the RHS ‘My Chelsea Garden’ virtual competition (in partnership with BBC’s The One Show) and wowed the judges, who were so impressed by her achievements they awarded her the Judges’ Gold Medal. Jade lives in west London with her three children – who find plants as rewarding as she does.

Jeremy Musson is a distinguished architectural historian, writer and broadcaster. He was Architectural Editor of Country Life magazine 1998−2007. Previous books include English Country House Interiors (Rizzoli, 2011), The Drawing Room: English Country House Decoration (Rizzoli, 2014) and Robert Adam: Country House Design, Decoration and the Art of Elegance (Rizzoli, 2017). He also presented the BBC 2 series The Curious House Guest.
