Architectural photographer Angelo Hornak has contributed to many books, including histories of St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, as well as the cathedrals of Canterbury, Winchester, Wells, Exeter and Ely. Balloon Over Britain is the story of his flight over Britain in a hot-air balloon with a basketful of cameras. London from the Thames takes the reader on a boat trip from the Thames Barrier in the east to Hampton Court in the west, exploring the historic river and the buildings and monuments on its banks.

Catherine Horwood is a social historian with a passion for plants and gardens. Her book, Gardening Women: Their Stories from 1600 to the Present (Virago, 2010) was enthusiastically received. Jason Ingram is a celebrated photographer of gardens, plants, food and people. He also works with top international garden designer Dan Pearson on private projects. Jason won the Garden Media Guild Photographer of the Year Award in 2013 and 2014 and was Features Photographer of the Year in 2016. He lives in Bristol.

Rebecca John is a celebrated botanical painter whose work has been exhibited widely in the UK and the US and also in Italy and Japan. Her work is represented in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, in the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff, and in private collections worldwide. With Michael Holroyd, she edited the letters of her grandmother, Ida John, published in 2017 as The Good Bohemian (Bloomsbury). She lives in London.

Julia L. Kay is a painter, printmaker, photographer, muralist and digital artist who was born and raised in New York City. She has a BA in Photography from Wesleyan University and did graduate work at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She lives in San Francisco, where she’s had the opportunity to complete commissions and to exhibit locally and internationally.

Julia launched her Portrait Party in 2010 when a personal project to draw herself every day for three years was drawing to a close. By the time Portrait Revolution was published, Julia Kay's Portrait Party had grown to more than 1000 members from 50 countries who had made more than 50,000 portraits. The portraits in the book were curated from this pool of portraits. The group continues to thrive and welcomes new members.

Mary Keen is an internationally known designer who has worked in the USA, France and Corfu, as well as on many English gardens of great distinction - among them the garden she describes in this book. For twenty years she was a member of the National Trust Gardens Panel, which advises on the care of important and historic gardens. She is the author of six books and is a regular contributor  to the Daily Telegraph and many garden magazines.  After creating a hands on garden of her own,  which was regularly open to the public , she is now enjoying making a new smaller garden and cultivating a large allotment for the first time.

Griselda Kerr, who trained in horticulture and garden design at the English Gardening School, Broomfield College and Brooksby College, is a gardener, lecturer and columnist who describes herself as ‘always thinking about plants’. Her glorious garden at the Dower House, Melbourne, Derbyshire, is regularly open to the public.

Jessica Kilburn is a writer and researcher from Northumberland. She read English at Merton College, Oxford, followed by History of Art at the University of Glasgow. She contributed articles to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, has written for Illustration magazine and curated an exhibition about Lancelot 'Capability' Brown at his birthplace in Northumberland.
